For more than 50 years, these
privately owned gardens have been open to the public. Margaret and Charles D. Spohr began the initial planting of this incredible garden park, adjacent to
their home, during the early 1950's. The kindness and generosity of spirit of
the Spohr Family welcome visitors to their beautiful gardens. It is a perfect
spot to read, contemplate or paint. The dappled sunlight and profusion of
colorful flowers was the inspiration for this painting. The gardens are a gift
of beauty and peace graciously given to us by Margaret and Charles Spohr.
